For some years now our club has participated in this fundraising event for the Cancer Council. Again this year, Loretta and Sue organised a fun and informative morning which resulted in a contribution of over $1200 being donated to the Australian Cancer Council.

The colour theme this year was green and members were asked to wear an apron; some very old aprons appeared from numerous closets! And of course, there were tales to be told about the histories of these aprons.
There were lots of lucky door prizes and everyone enjoyed an amazing morning tea that served as lunch for many of us.

Jo Capp from the the Cancer Council Queensland (CCQ) spoke to our group about the work and achievements of the Council. Many of us were surprised to learn that the most common cancer in our region is currently prostate cancer, followed by melanoma.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed and supported this occasion.
