The Open Day held last Saturday 16 February was an outstanding success.
Congratulations to our Events organizer, Ineke and her band of many helpers.
The viewer’s choice table runners were strung along a line at the entrance to the meeting rooms. It was very eye catching.
Demonstrations were popular with visitors all day. The visitors also enjoyed refreshments provided by members of the club. The ladies on kitchen duties did a mighty fine job.
Here are some of the wonderful demonstrations we had.
Cheryl and Joan R – Disappearing 9 Patch.
Fay Suley – Stack n Whack
June P demonstrating and wearing Crazy Patch Quilting. Her skirt is made out of men’s ties in the colours of the colour wheel.

Linda Wrench – Needle felting. Linda had an eye catching display behind her of her needle felted art quilts.
Shirley with her exquisite embroidery display and demonstration.
Vicky was making her wearable fleece flowers. You will see some of the members wearing a purple one.
The displays of quilts and other works decorated the meeting rooms.
Community Quilting – some string quilts in progress.

Fantastic Art Quilt display by our very talented Art Quilters. The Art Quilting group meets the 3rd Saturday of each month.
