Open Day 2013

A huge thanks to Ineke who organised a fantastic Open Day last Saturday.  Many thanks also to Lyn and her team of helpers in the kitchen, all members who contributed/participated/attended, and to the wonderful members of the public who visited and helped to make it such a fun, inspiring and memorable day.

Visitors were invited to vote for their favourite table runner on display.  This was a quilt challenge, organised to coincide with Open Day. (see blog below dated 2 February)  These photos do not do them justice but give an idea of the variety of runners made and the enthusiasm of Club members.

And the winner, announced at our meeting yesterday, was Lynette Virgo!

The winner of the raffle quilt was Thelma Cooper, ticket Blue A93.

It was a great day. We look forward to meeting some new members and seeing the projects inspired by this opportunity to learn and share.
