Our Annual Exhibition of Quilts and Other Fine Arts is fast approaching and Tuesdays in August have become a production line. The members have been busy making items for the sales table.
If you are in Toowoomba during the Carnival of Flowers be sure to visit us at
The Salo Centre, St Ursula’a College – Rome Street – Toowoomba
Saturday 17 September to Friday 23 September.
We would love to see you and can assure you of a spectacular quilt show as per previous years.
Some of the ladies busy at work
Madeline working on sales table items.
We also had some impressive show and tell.
Sheila K is leaving us for a couple of months to travel over to England and see her family.
She has made this bright and beautiful Australian bird quilt for her visually impaired Mum. Each bird is bordered with an Australian floral fabric.
Congratulations Sheila. The backing is oh so Aussie too. Mum will really love this one.
Also, congrats to Marleen who has finished her Sashiko quilt. It is quite spectacular. Lots of beautiful sashiko pieces.
Here is Vicky with her hand stitched hexagon quilt completed. The photo does not do this quilt justice, the colour is much stronger ‘in the flesh’ It is amazing and very neatly stitched.
These and more wonderful quilts, both traditional and contemporary, will be on display at our quilt show.
