Our 2014 Exhibition is in full swing and we are delighted by the response of our visitors.

Our entry foyer this year is hung with old quilts, each with its story attached. Some are visible in the above photo; others include Valderie's quilt made to add comfort to their hessian tobacco bag blankets in the 1970s and Christine H's Suffolk Puffs Quilt made in 1979. Much reminiscing has been heard in the foyer!
On Friday Club members and some wonderful partners assisted with the transformation of an empty hall to a delightful display of quilts. This process is always an amazing experience.
This year we are using the stage as our refreshments area. Visitors can purchase tea/coffee and a scone or piece of fruit bread for $3. Not only is this good value but the stage offers an excellent view of the whole Exhibition hall.

Our Friday night celebration at the end of set-up included a thank you presentation to
Sheila King who was brave enough to convene our exhibition for a second
year. We are grateful for her hard work and enthusiasm.
Works in progress and demonstrations always generate a lot of interest. Several members are sewing each day at the Exhibition. Today Chriss was demonstrating paper piecing.

Oh where is the "like" button! Finally a decent photo of me! I enjoyed sitting and doing the demo and chatting to the visitors about the process etc. A lovely day.
