They are now producing some weighted quilts especially for autistic children. These quilts have a pocket in them and weights are added into them to suit each child. The autistic child finds the weighted quilts very comforting. Here are the first two:
Here is a close up of the opening which has a velcro closure and a double fold over pocket inside to keep the weights from coming out.
Our next community quilting day will be Saturday May 21.
We have our community quilting on the third Saturday of each month.
