Terrific Tuesday

The members continue to amaze us with their quilt production.
Joys trucks
B W block truck quiltJoye P brought along her fabulous truck quilt which she has made for her husband.  Fellow member Lyn Crump quilted it and there were a few surprises in amongst the quilted shapes.Truck quilt Joy
The black and white border block must have been a bit tricky to make up.  It only measures about 5 inches!!

Naked Lady
The ‘hidden’ naked lady.  Can you see her?  The significance of this????   Maybe truckies just like the look of em.
Judy F Fashion quilt
Our very talented member Judy F has put together this quilt top featuring her hand painted blocks with various fashion styles depicted.

This is most of the painted blocks.  They are so wonderful, Judy.  Second from the top is our illustrious PM the Ms Julia Gillard!!
Chriss J is an early bird and has put together last Christmas’ challenge fabrics for this years Christmas party.  Well done, ChrissChris Xmas Challenge
Here is Madeline showing us her new bag.  She is our resident bag lady at the moment.  This one is from a pattern by Rosalie Quinlan.       So beautifully made, Madeline, and snazzy fabrics too.

Keep those projects coming ladies.
This Saturday at the club rooms we have the Toowoomba Art Quilters meeting at 10.00am. This month Chris D is showing them the art of Zentangle.
There will also be more work done on community quilts and Robyn Ginn is holding a workshop in crazy patchwork and embroidery.  (This one was for members only and filled up quickly).  This workshop was subsidised by a grant awarded by Toowoomba Regional Council from the Community Cultural and Arts Support fund.   Robyn has agreed to do another workshop later in the year for those who were disappointed and missed out this time.
A busy Saturday.  See you there.
