Cuppa for Cancer - 2013

We hit a purple patch on Tuesday when we hosted a Cuppa for Cancer fundraiser for cancer research.  Thank you to Margie, Loretta and Sue S for organizing this special day.

These sweet ladies in the tiaras talked to our group about ovarian cancer.  It is such an insidious cancer being so hard to detect and very hard to treat.

Carole Scaife on the left who came 2nd in the Mrs Australia quest run by the Ovarian Cancer of Australia last year.  Her sister, Amber Tolley who was a major fundraiser for the association.  They are pictured here with Fay Suley (President).

Here are the ladies pictured with their mum, our member, Glenda.  Glenda is modelling her purple bra which she decorated and it reads “Unite to Fight”

There was a huge display of very creative purple bras made and displayed by our members.

This is very interesting post, Dianne, All those bras - embellished in very cute ways. And the purple breakfast - a lovely happening and a helpful one. The quilts are beautiful, each of them.
